A sacred incense, deep, full and rich with a complex, refined scent. Made according to Guru Rimpoche, it requires: 7 days chanting; 3 days grinding; 2 days forming and shaping; 3-4 days of curing. The Nunnery is located in a little village just north of the Bhutan border near Gongar, Samye and Mindroling Monasteries.

I received some of this incense as a sample and am quite pleased. The highest scent smells like frankincense though I don’t know if that’s the particular resin used in this formula. Woody and spicy aspects are there as well. It offers a pleasant feeling to the environment. I like an incense that has been prepared with prayer and intention.

This is my favorite incense. Sweet without being cloying with a lingering scent that never smells ‘stale’. Perfection.

This is a very pleasant smelling incense. The scent is sweet and woodsy without being overpowering. Some people say the scent reminds them of leather. I can see why, even though it smells like fragrant wood to me.

One of my favorites because I’m one of the people who get a distinctly leather scent from it. I do enjoy the peripheral fragrances too, but I honestly try to keep the leather front and center. Absolutely spellbinding. Most recent was ordered almost 5 years ago. It came in the black tube and it’s almost time for a refill.
