Samar Monastery Incense is a wonderful incense. It is very woody, and to my nose, it strikes the perfect balance between Juniper and Cypress. The longer it burns, the more the woodiness pairs with a wonderful resinous note. Just as if you would crush fresh pine needles and throw them onto a glowing charcoal. However the scent stays very woody and powdery at the same time. It seems that this incense contains small doses of spices and herbs, such as spikenard and nutmeg. It is similar to some Bhutanese incenses in that the combination creates a wonderful slightly sweet-ish scent.
    Highly recommended.
