A distinctive chunky incense with an earthy, rich aroma. Long Du Relaxing Incense contains a total of 36 ingredients, including sandalwood, nutmeg, myrobalan, frankincense and clove. It’s made by Traditional Medical College in Lhasa (which also has the formula for Holy Land and Holy Land Grade 2). It is intended to ‘promote tranquility and support restful sleep’.

These are short fat sticks that give off lots of aroma. An overwhelming burn if you are limited to a small room, thus not so relaxing, so either burn only in quarters or halves, or burn the whole in a space adjacent to where you intend on doing your relaxing. But, if you are the type that doesn’t mind, or even enjoys, taking in a thick miasma of smokey relaxation particles — GO FOR IT! Very nice aromatic. Medium-to-heavy. It is indeed relaxing.

There is quite a fantastic fragrance packed in these short but stouts. It is indeed strong enough to fill a fairly large (though I suppose we all have a different idea on ‘large’) room with a lovely aroma with a lovely leader of frankincense and a more floral clove/sandalwood pair of co-captains. After having this settle into a room for about 20 minutes, it brings me to a place of being in a temple after a long day of chores and intense meditation, then finally laying back to relax and take in a restful sense of accomplishment and wholeness. It is a fantastic purchase, glad I decided to add it on 🙂
